Royal Bank of Scotland: Vebra crossing

No – it’s not a spelling mistake! Re-designing pedestrian crossings calls for thinking outside of the box and that’s exactly what Riggotts did for the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The bank had built a new outer foyer at the main entrance to its Southend-on-Sea head office and required a pedestrian crossing to ensure pedestrians could cross the road in safety.

Riggotts took the concept of pedestrian crossings back to the drawing board and came up with the ‘Vebra Crossing’ – a zebra crossing, in the shape of a ‘V’!

The design draws attention to the bank’s new outer foyer, without compromising road safety.
