Riggotts help create ‘Safe Routes to School’ in Birmingham
Pupils in Birmingham can now enjoy a safer route to school, thanks to work undertaken by Riggots.
Birmingham City Council’s ‘Safe Routes to School’ scheme makes adjustments to the area around the school in order to promote and improve road safety.
Riggotts applied a mixture of hot and cold anti-skid surfacing in bright colours and laid white lining along Cole Hall Lane to highlight the route and brighten up the area - in a bid to slow down traffic and help pupils to get to school safely.
Riggotts worked alongside Barhale Construction to complete the project in just three days, before handing the project over to the council.
Both Barhale and Birmingham Council were very happy with the quality and the outcome of the job.
